Awake To Righteousness And Sin Not

“In 2020, the US and parts of Europe were plunged into rebellion under the slogan “WOKE “. Groups like Black Lives Matter & AntiFa, under the guise of protesting the killing of a black man called George Floyd by four White policemen, wrecked so much violence and destruction in so many of the States in the USA and some parts of Europe with unrestrained zeal. They demanded the defunding, and disbanding of the police force. They destroyed statues of the founding Fathers of the nation who they deemed to be slave owners. They demanded the cancellation of cultures they called European. They demanded the abrogation of the nuclear family - marriage between male and female. They insisted on the legalization of homosexuality, abortion, gender neutrality and the use of marijuana.
As I sought the face of the Lord for the year 2021, He pointed out to me the zeal and the fervency with which the groups were pursuing their demands mostly were contrary to His will and His ways. He also pointed out that many people claiming to be Christians who bought into these pernicious ways. He then pointed to the zeal with which most people claiming to be Pastors & Prophets were prophesying lies and deceptions, thus turning the hearts of the people away from Christ, to materialism.
It is against this background that He said “ We should Awake to righteousness and sin not “ and that we should use the same zeal to demolish all the cultures of sin we have erected in our lives as stated in Colossians 3:5-9.
We are to awake from our sleep & arise from our indifference towards sin for Christ to give us light. We are to realize the urgency of the moment, that every new year draws us closer to our redemption. (1 Corinthians 15:34, Ephesians 5:14, Romans 13:11)
As we heed this call , we shall enjoy His promise in Psalm 31:19-20.”
